Hotel Capitán Suizo is located on Playa Tamarindo on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, 200 miles from the capital San José. Directly on the beach, the property is surrounded by native trees and lush tropical gardens. Removed from the busier areas of Tamarindo, this attractive hotel offers you a peaceful and calm environment with many activities to choose from. There are 22 spacious rooms and eight thatched-roof bungalows, each with a patio or balcony. All accommodations feature a mezzanine bedroom area with a king-size bed, large private bathroom with a deep bathtub and an enclosed outdoor shower.
The bungalows and second-floor rooms are built to take advantage of the natural Pacific breeze to make them cool and comfortable. If you prefer air-conditioning, choose a ground floor unit. Other comforts include telephones, radios, safes and small refrigerators. Capitán Suizo has a great free-form pool—complete with a rope swing!—perfect for observing the many resident birds and iguanas, as well as the occasional curious monkey wandering by. There is an open-air restaurant and bar with a carefully planned menu featuring tasty international and tropical dishes. On the property you will also find stables that offer horses for rent, and a watersports center that offers diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking and boogie boards. |
