Set in a private nature reserve of Central America`s last remaining lowland tropical rainforest, Lapa Rios Jungle Lodge is a luxurious retreat in harmony with its surroundings.

Fifteen spacious bungalows are built on three line ridges over 350 feet above the sea level. The bungalows and main lodge are connected by walk paths and steps and offer breathtaking views over the Pacific Ocean. Access to the private beach is by a steep trail.
All the bungalows are furnished with locally made comfortable bamboo furniture and sleep up to four people in two queen-size beds. There is an indoor solar-heated shower, a private outdoor garden shower, two sinks, large closets and a deck overlooking the rainforest and the ocean. 24-hour electricity and laundry service is available. The resort has a great restaurant with fresh and healthy food, a bar and a pool.
This pristine area is a treat for birdwatchers; over 270 species of birds have been sighted in the immediate area around the lodge. All four species of Costa Rican monkeys can be found here, as well as agouti, coati mundi, three-toed sloth, seven species of lizards, peccaries, ocelots, giant butterflies and even the elusive jaguar. There are miles of rainforest trails to explore, cool rivers and waterfalls, and the beach area is safe for swimming. Variety of day tours include horseback riding, guided hikes, boat trips, sport fishing, whale and dolphin watching, sea kayaking, surfing and excellent sportfishing. Yoga and massage are also offered.
