OVERVIEW Nestled at the foot of the Pico Bonito National Park, The Lodge at Pico Bonito seamlessly combines nature and luxurious comfort. The luxury eco-lodge is located between two roaring rivers on the Caribbean coast of Honduras just 30 minutes from La Ceiba. The handsome wood and stone lodge is set against the backdrop of the towering peaks of the Nombre de Dios Mountain Range. In the foreground sits the inviting pool and terrace with its own bar. Pico Bonito Lodge is in a fantasy setting surrounded by the most extraordinary wildlife that includes over 400 bird species, exotic animals such as kinkajous, peccaries, coatis, tyras as well as monkeys and jaguars. ACCOMMODATION From the main buildings, gravel pathways lead through the lush tropical landscape of the grounds to the 22 secluded guest cabins, tucked within the dense foliage of coffee and cacao trees. Cabins are approximately 400 square feet and are appointed with indigenous soft furnishings, private bathroom, shower, louvered and screened windows, private veranda with a hammock, a CD player, alarm clock and coffee maker with Honduran organic coffee.
Four types of cabins are available; Standard with two full or two queen beds and a fan, Standard Plus with two full or two queen beds and air conditioning, Superior with a single king four poster bed and air conditioning as well as several standard plus cabins with interior doors that connect them together, perfect for larger families.

ACTIVITIES The Pico Bonito Lodge has been designed to offer guests a wide range of activities and experiences. The activities desk can arrange tours and activities to numerous destinations including touring the ancient Mayan ruins of Copán, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking and scuba diving or snorkeling amidst the coral reefs of the Bay Islands. Trained guides can be arranged to lead and inform you on hikes through the rainforest.
A short walk from the lodge takes you to the Tropical Butterfly Farm, which breeds over 40 different species, including the stunning blue morpho. Guests can enjoy a private tour of this locally sustainable enterprise, which also includes an iguana farm and serpentarium. Miles of private trails around the lodge can take you down 100-foot canyons to sparkling waterfalls and natural swimming holes, up a four story observation deck and to the edges of the jungle canopy, where butterflies, birds, and other animals can be viewed in the wild.
