Mermaid I

Mermaid I is a 28 meter, double engine steel motor yacht. After many years of working with different boats, Mermaid knew exactly what was needed to create the perfect diving vessel. In 1999 construction began in Bangkok, where she was built by an experienced and highly professional team and completed after two years. The immense effort finally paid off and this vessel became the flagship of their fleet complete with IMO certification. She comfortably holds 15 guests.

Delicious Thai and western meals are served in the restaurant with large windows to enjoy the views. After meals relax in the saloon equipped with TV/DVD and music center and library with a full selection of marine life books. There are two outside decks, one shaded with outside seating and the fabulous sundeck with sunshade plus cushioned sun beds making it a great place to relax.

There is 1 Master Stateroom with king bed, 1 Single and 4 Deluxe Cabins with double or twin beds and 2 Budget Cabins with double/twin beds below deck. The master, single and deluxe cabins have panoramic sea view windows. The budget cabins are below decks.

All 8 cabins are fully air-conditioned and equipped with TV & DVD player, refrigerator, a large wardrobe, plenty of storage room and an en-suite bathroom with hot water shower, toilet and sink.

Fresh bath towels daily, beach towels, bathrobes, hair-dryers, towels, soap and shampoo are provided for your comfort.

There is a wide stern dive platform with two exit ladders and fresh water showers and the experienced dive crew would be delighted to assist you. Divers are welcome to dive with their buddy on sites deemed suitable by the Cruise Director. Nitrox fills and courses are available on board to enhance your diving safety.

There are several large tables on the dive deck with many rinse containers for small to super large camera and video setups. There are several power points in every cabin as well as throughout the saloon area for charging. Usually the dive crew will have a laptop available in case you experience any problems with yours. As possible, Mermaid also offers a DVD burning service in case you cannot bring your laptop with you.
