OVERVIEW
Largely untouched by tourism, Sumatra holds a true adventure experience for those who want something out of the ordinary. Active volcanoes, hillsides carpeted in dense rainforest and pristine beaches set the scene behind a multitude of friendly small towns and villages.

Take in the sounds and sights of Gunung Leuser National Park, full of colorful birdlife and home to wild orangutans. Ride the rapids down Wampu River and look for monkeys, parrots and monitor lizards along the way. Immerse yourself in Batak culture on the shores of vast Lake Toba.
