Diving Sumatra

Largely untouched by tourism, Sumatra holds a true adventure experience for those who want something out of the ordinary. Active volcanoes, hillsides carpeted in dense rainforest and pristine beaches set the scene behind a multitude of friendly small towns and villages.

From thrilling drift dives with schooling pelagics and the occasional mola mola to white sand muck sites with sea moths, frogfish and snake eels. There are volcanic channels, gardens of gorgonians, small wrecks and even an underwater hot spring complete with effervescent bubbles.

Diving in this area often yields surprises and encounters have included dolphins, mantas and even whale sharks.
