Sea Queen

The MV Sea Queen is 26m in length and offers comfortable accommodation, together with a high standard of service. With many years’ experience in the Maldives, the Sea Queen team is able to consistently deliver a high standard of service safety and care to 12 guests.

On the main deck there is a large saloon which has four separate seating and table areas for comfortable relaxation. The saloon is equipped with a 38" LCD flat screen TV with multi-system home theatre surround sound.

The joy of the Sea Queen is the wonderful open foredeck table. In good weather guests enjoy lunch and dinner outside with wonderful views of the archipelago and delicious meals.

From the aft deck, steps lead up to the large, partially shaded sun deck above the main saloon where there are comfortable adjustable sun loungers and bed mats. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a sundowner and discuss the day’s diving. On the aft deck there is a large swim platform with ladder giving easy access to the water with fresh water showers.

Sea Queen offers a high standard of comfortable accommodation in 6 cabins, each with lower double berths and single upper berths. Each cabin has a porthole and all are air conditioned by a centrally controlled system as well as having a large wall mounted cabin fan.

All cabins have hanging wardrobe and under-bed storage space, en-suite bathrooms, with hot water shower, domestic flushing toilet and hand basin. The guest cabins are totally separate from the working sections of the boat and are cleaned each day while guests are diving.

To dive safely and to reach the best dive points in and around the narrow channels and shallow reefs, you need a special type of boat adapted to these local conditions. The Sea Queen’s Dive Support vessel, Luna, is 45ft long and comfortably seats 12 divers each with their own storage bin. Equipment is assembled and remains in place on the dive boat making this really easy comfortable diving. Cylinders are filled by the two onboard K14 compressors and Nitrox is available on request. Sea Queen can also support rebreather diving.

Reef life is prolific, with over 700 common fish species and many more still to be discovered and classified; invertebrate species are reckoned to be in their tens of thousands. For the sharp-eyed diver there are encounters with species like frogfish, leaf fish, ghost pipefish and a multitude of nudibranchs. Whether it’s the sight of the awesome manta ray, being face to face with a grey reef shark or spotting a tiny brightly colored flatworm, the Maldives has it all.

For underwater video and photography enthusiasts there are plenty of recharging points and editing playback facilities. There are camera rinse tanks on the aft deck.
