DIVING Discover Beqa Lagoon's world-class diving with Aqua-Trek Beqa. Discover soft corals in multihued kaleidoscopes of color and reefs teeming with fish, as well as numerous caves and tunnels that are home to weird and wonderful exotic critters. There are more than 20 excellent dive sites within a short boat ride from Pacific Harbour, and Aqua-Trek’s 33-foot custom-built dive vessel will carry you to them in comfort and style. There are four purpose-sunk wrecks in Beqa Lagoon, first one sunk eight years ago. All the wrecks are Taiwanese trawlers and have become homes for many different types of fish life such as cod, grouper, and schools of fusiliers and barracuda. They also have beautiful soft corals covering them, and make for excellent photographic subjects. The wrecks are some of the favorites dive spots in the lagoon.
For the more adventurous, jump in for the famous high-adrenaline shark dive. Aqua-Trek pioneered the world-famous Beqa Lagoon shark diving, and continues to excite and amaze divers with shark encounters with numerous bull sharks, gray, white and black tip reef sharks, nurse sharks and even the occasional tiger and oceanic white tip shark. |
