Borneo Divers, founded in 1984, was the first full service professional dive operation in Borneo. Borneo Divers Mabul Resort was built with divers needs in mind. Every detail is laid out to make your stay memorable.

Accommodation:

The resort has 30 rooms, all with a view of the beach and the Borneo Mainland in the distance. There are 2 rooms to each chalet, constructed of beautiful hardwoods in a local style.

Ceiling fans and balmy tropical breezes provide ample cooling, but each chalet is also fully air conditioned for your comfort.

Private ensuite bathrooms provide modern hot showers and toilet facilities. Deluxe rooms have amenities such as reading lamps, coffee/tea making facilities and hair dryers.

Since the dive sites are close, frequently you will return to the resort for your surface interval so you can enjoy the balmy tropical breezes on your private veranda and the white sandy beach and Celebes Sea are only a few steps away from your door.

Diving:

Situated only about 15 minutes by speedboat from Sipadan, and 30 minutes from mainland Semporna, Mabul is recognized as one of the world’s best “muck-diving” sites, has a shallow reef profile with sandy bottom and patches of sea grass and also one of the richest single destinations for exotic small marine life in the world.

The coral reefs at first glance do not look very picturesque and inviting, however it is the diversity of macro animals inhabiting the coral rubble and sea grass sites that put Mabul on the diving map.

Flamboyant cuttlefish, blue-ringed octopus, mimic octopus, gobies and frogfishes are everywhere, as are moray, snake eels and practically the whole scorpion fish family. There’s no doubt about it, Mabul is a magical macro site! The beauty of Mabul will also appeal greatly to non-divers as well.

When it’s time to go diving, you won’t have to go far. The fully equipped dive center is just a few steps from the beach. You won’t have to carry a lot of heavy gear around either, friendly dive staff will have tanks ready for you on the boat. A fleet of fast modern speedboats ensure that whether you are going to one of the macro sites surrounding Mabul, or to the famous dive sites of nearby Sipadan, your transportation will be fast safe and comfortable.
