Sea of Cortez

Recently La Paz has become known among scuba divers as one of the world’s divers’ paradises. Dive sites are all in the Sea of Cortez, in between the peninsula and Mexican mainland. This sea is a declared World Heritage site and one of the only place where you can 100% enjoy scuba diving with wild California Sea Lions. Huge schools of sardines are also present, and the most popular diving point, “El Bajo”, is usually crowded with the scuba divers aiming to see a school of Hammerhead Sharks. You may be able to finish up your trip swimming with whale sharks in the La Paz bay.

Socorro

Socorro Island is located approximately 450 kilometers south from the tip of the California Peninsula, Los Cabos. After a voyage on the ship for approximately 24 hours, there suddenly appears four islands around which giant mantas, hammerhead sharks and dolphins swim. This solitary island in the distant sea is an unsurpassed paradise with some of the planet’s biggest creatures promising you a truly spectacular experience.
