Diving:
Thailand’s diving trademarks are many, including whale sharks and mantas during the season from January through April. Blacktip sharks, turtles, and schools of barracudas. Usual macro suspects include seahorses, cuttlefish, nudibranchs, octopus, and pipefish. A great variety of underwater seascapes will tantalize even the most experienced diver.
Liveaboards in Thailand are centered primarily around the Similan Islands, a chain of 9 small islands with white sandy beaches on the Thai peninsula's west coast. Surrounded by the richest waters around Thailand, diving in the Similans is undoubtedly the best that Thailand has to offer. Diving here is all about the beautifully colorful reefs, sleepy leopard sharks, majestic mantas, and frequent whale shark encounters.
