Known as the ‘Critter Capital of the World’, Lembeh Strait is home to over 1,000 documented marine species, including flamboyant cuttlefish, pygmy seahorses, hairy frogfish, and rare nudibranchs. Divers, underwater photographers, and marine biologists from around the globe are drawn to Lembeh Strait’s unique ecosystem, which is filled with camouflaged and unique creatures.

Solitude Lembeh Resort welcomes you with 17 spacious villas and rooms, which are designed with woodwork, high-pitched roofs, and breezy verandas inspired by the Minahasa people of North Sulawesi, renowned for their distinctive craftsmanship and coastal heritage. The resort offers offer three distinct accommodations—garden-view (8 with partial sea views), 2 seafront villas, and 7 deluxe rooms (6 with partial sea views)—ranging from 35 to 70 square meters. Each are thoughtfully designed, ensuring both comfort and accessibility for wheelchair users. You can also indulge in relaxation amid central gardens and an inviting infinity-edge pool.
Two Seafront Villas sit directly at the water’s edge, offering uninterrupted views across the Lembeh Strait towards Lembeh Island. Each spacious 112 sqm villa features king or twin beds, indoor and outdoor showers and a private cantilevered deck extending over the shoreline. Complete with sun loungers, it is a peaceful place to read, rest or simply watch life unfold across the water.
Nestled within lush tropical gardens, our Garden View Villas are spacious and airy, with private verandas and partial sea views. They’re perfect for guests seeking a peaceful, secluded retreat. Each of the eight villas features high timber ceilings, indoor and outdoor showers, ample storage for gear, and air-conditioning.
The Deluxe Rooms at Solitude Lembeh Resort provide a comfortable and well-equipped retreat for divers and nature lovers alike. Located in a charming colonial-style main building, these spacious rooms feature king or twin beds, ensuite bathrooms with hot showers, and modern amenities. Garden-access rooms are wheelchair-friendly, while upper-floor rooms open to a shared outdoor space.

Lembeh Strait, situated near Lembeh Island in North Sulawesi, stands among the world’s renowned diving destinations and is an absolute must for those exploring Indonesia. It has evolved into a prime spot for underwater photographers due to the wealth of unique critters dwelling here. Divers flock to Lembeh in search of rare creatures like the elusive hairy octopus, pygmy seahorses, and the mimic octopus, rarely seen elsewhere.
This diving haven caters to divers of all skill levels, offering mild currents, low surge, and shallow dive sites. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned photographer, the dive conditions in the Lembeh Strait are mostly pleasant, offering numerous opportunities to spot nudibranchs and crabs in their natural habitat. To enhance and optimise your diving experience, they maintain a dedicated dive ratio of 2 divers to 1 guide (2:1), ensuring personalised guidance and the best possible encounters with the marine life.
Water temperatures vary throughout the year, reaching around 28-29 degrees Celsius (82-84 Fahrenheit) from October to March and dropping to 25-26 degrees Celsius (79-81 Fahrenheit) in July and August.
